Our Story

NeedingAdvice.co.uk Ltd was founded by Damian Youell, a mortgage broker who started his career with a straightforward conviction: that clients deserve honest, whole-of-market advice with their needs placed at the centre of every decision — not the commission, not the easiest product, not the path of least resistance.

That conviction became the business. The name itself — NeedingAdvice.co.uk — was chosen deliberately. It reflects the people the business was built to serve: those who genuinely need good mortgage advice, whether they are buying their first home, remortgaging, facing credit difficulties, building a buy-to-let portfolio, or navigating a complex financial situation that the high street has turned away.

Damian has since been recognised by VouchedFor as one of the UK’s top rated mortgage advisers, featured in The Intermediary and Mortgage Introducer magazines, and built a team of specialist mortgage brokers, a qualified IFA, and a dedicated client relationship manager — all operating under the same founding principle.
